Our child care us named after a Belgian play named the Blue Bird (L’Oiseau blue) about a girl and her brother on a quest for happiness. What the pair learn is that happiness is found in simply everyday things and in caring for others.

Our Mission is to provide a whole-person education to foster intellectual and emotional growth as well as natural inner discipline in a warm, nurturing environment.
Sora Kim has over 25 years of experience as teacher and director in Montessori school in both Bay Area and South Korea. Sora believes that every moment impacts a child’s emotional and intellectual growth,
and considers it a great privilege to be able to serve as a guide in chidren’s developmental journey.
Sora received her bachelor’s degree in art from Ewha Women’s University, Seoul, South Korea, and a master’s degree in Montessori education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She holds teacher’s certificates for infant/toddler and early childhood age from American Montessori Society.
